Ely Sandler
Ely Sandler is a Venture Partner at Aurelia Foundry and a Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. At Harvard, Ely teaches the Kennedy School’s most popular course, “Financing the Clean Energy Transition,” and leads a seminar on Space Policy. His research focuses on international finance and space policy, where he works with international space agencies on new approaches to the governance of outer space. Ely’s work has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Reuters and Bloomberg, and he has advised organizations such as the World Bank, United Nations and various governments on public policy.
Ely’s background is in economics and finance. He was Managing Director of the Article Six Group, the infrastructure finance firm he co-founded, and previously served as a senior advisor to the international CEO of Morgan Stanley, having worked at Morgan Stanley for nearly a decade across investment banking, capital markets, and senior management.
Ely graduated with distinction from the University of Oxford with a first class degree in Politics, Philosophy & Economics. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he received a distinction for his thesis. His PHD is at Oxford University in Environmental Economics.
